Visiting New York City for a wedding photography seminar last week allowed me not only to learn and network with fellow photographers, but also to enjoy a bit of the city. It was a very quick trip and I’ll definitely have to go back to see it properly but the people were so friendly and accommodating… amazing food, excellent shopping and great shows! I am a shopper but this time instead of visiting all of the amazing clothes and shoe stores I spent the most time at the fabulous children’s toy store FAO Schwartz on 5th Avenue. Forget the high heels and clothes shopping, now I’m going for teddy bears and giant lollipops. The seminar I did was with the wonderful George Weir and really gave me some good insights, ideas and invigoration to open a new wedding season. I loved seeing his work, learning some new tricks and just generally sharing thoughts and ideas about wedding photography.
